This was due to a serious strep infective bacteria. She desperately needed medical assistance that could save her life and was put on ECMO life support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Her condition became severe and she suffered organ failure including kidneys that didn't recover. It was her new normal to have hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. Over the course of the 80 days she spent in Hospital, the life of her was changed completely. Angelica had been being on dialysis for the past year and a half before she was finally ready to undergo the biggest surgery of her entire life: a transplant of the kidney. Her mother was the one who would donate the kidney. Angelica Hale underwent a successful kidney transplant alongside her mother on the 13th of September, 2013. The procedure was conducted in Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be an international star has not waned.
